In which we read a wonderful short short story by Mr. Avram Davidson, giving us a new twist on an old legend.

The original is a bit long to quote here, but you can read along at the Art-Anima site which has been kind enough to quote the text in its entirety.

Alternative, you can visit SLIDESHARE for the PDF.

I had a fun (and difficult) time conjuring up the voices for this one.  Enjoy!

No, I don't mean Linus, Snoopy and Charlie Brown, but the Japanese Vocal group called THE PEANUTS.  They appear to have been a Japanese a cappela group consisting of twin sisters Emi Itō (伊藤エミ, Itō Emi) and Yumi Itō (伊藤ユミ, Itō Yumi), and their work was featured in the Japanese Mothra monster films.  There one and only US released album featured covers of such songs as "California Dreamin" and "Proud Mary" & also were on The Ed Sulivan Show. Here, from the 1961 Toho film "Mosura" (MOTHRA)  we have The Peanuts doing "Mosura No Uta" (the Mothra Song).  Music by Yuji Koseki.
